Chamblaise

The Grape

Our Chamblaise is crafted in the style of the popular Chablis wine grown in the wine region of Burgundy, France. The grapevines around the town of Chablis are predominantly Chardonnay. Typical Chablis wines have little to no oak compared to other Burgandy white wines. The cooler climate of Chablis produces an acidic white wine with steel-like flavours due to the cooler climate where it is grown.

The Wines

Fresh and lively with mineral backnotes, a Chamblaise wine has a fairly unique flavour compared to other French-style Chardonnays. Chamblaise is known as a dry white wine full of aroma and flavour. On the nose, Chamblaise wines burst with flavours of green apple and fresh cut hay. The minerality on the finish tends to linger on the palate.

The Occasions

The crisp acidity of Chamblaise cuts through many rich sauces, making it perfect for creamy pasta dishes. If you’re hosting a wine and cheese pairing event, Chamblaise is a good wine to serve. You could also pair a Chamblaise with sautéed mushrooms, escargot and grilled calamari.
