Wine Ice Cubes

Avoid watery wine this summer with wine ice cubes that keep your wine chilled and boost flavours! It’s super easy to do and takes little to no time to prep ahead of time. Simply pour wine into an ice cube tray, freeze and enjoy refreshing wine all summer long! Want more reasons why this is a great idea? Keep reading!

1.Wine on the Rocks

Keeping your wine chilled and enjoying the warm summer weather, don’t go particularly well together. And there is no greater faux pas than putting ice cubes in your glass of wine, mainly because it will water down your wine… but what if your ice cubes were made of wine!?! Problem solved! Freeze a few trays of your wine of choice and you can sip your rosé with rosé ice cubes. Adding the wine ice cubes will do 2 things: keep your wine at icy cold perfection and fill your glass with more wine… all at once!

2. Wine Cocktails

Grind up those wine ice cubes for a red, white or rosé wine slushie for the ultimate adult summer refresher on those hot days! Or, add wine ice cubes to your favourite cocktails to experiment what combinations your prefer.

Here’s a delicious Cherry Lime Slushie Recipe:

Ingredients

  • 1 c. frozen cherries
  • 6 red wine ice cubes
  • ¼ c. chilled red wine
  • ½ lime, juiced

Instructions

  1. Pour 1 cup of wine into ice cube trays and freeze overnight.
  2. Puree all of the ingredients in a blender until smooth.
  3. Waste no wine!

3. Prevent Waste

Most of us can attest to having half empty bottles of wine after an event or dinner – but this wine need not be wasted! Instead, pour it into an ice cub tray and freeze. It will keep the wine from degrading further, and it can be repurposed for a delicious slushie or to chill your wine!
